Electro-Magnetic Induction
(Parts 1 & 2)

Part 1:
'The generation, by induction, of current in a conductor situated in a magnetic field of changing intensity, is shown by animated diagrams and an electrically operated model railway.'

Part 2: (Alternative Title: Electrical Generation)
'Diagrammatic demonstration that the induced electro-motive force is proportional to the rate of change of magnetic flux. Application of this to the construction of generators. Shots of generators in operation.'[1]

The alternative title of Electrical Generation for part two of this title comes from a handwritten note in the British Council's copy of Films of Britain 1946. The page featuring this title in the 1947-50 edition is not digitally recorded and so cannot be verified, but it appears from the issue's index that this title may well have been used instead, making part 2 of Electro-Magnetic Induction into a film in its own right.
